Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
