I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
